Skiing above the Emerald Loch - Cairngorms.
"What with one thing and another I've been uber busy with work and play lately but have managed to get out with the camera here and there.
I've been holding back, waiting for this to make print, and it's now in Fall Line magazine. It's a shot of Gavin MacKay dropping into the Emerald Loch tree run near Glenmore in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park not far from Aviemore. The mountain skied is Creag nan Gall and loch is An Lochan Uaine. This is away from the normal ski areas and involves skinning up the hill with ski mountaineering kit before unleashing all on the way back down. If you're interested there's a full article and video of the day's antics here.
The skiing's so good here that we have just come back from the Alps early to be back in Scotland."
