past ... present ... future?

"I have tried to represent the distance of time in one photograph. The past represented by the ancient peat, the present by the tractor, and the future of energy creation by the wind turbines. The question mark is a subtle way of asking if it is right for Lewis's landscape to be given over to a wind farm. Man comes and man goes and he has a dramatic effect on the land. Natural processes only happen slowly."

This photo received and honorable mention in the Highlands exposure Photo exhibition.
