Stewart Laing

Stewart Laing, originally uploaded by TGKW.

"My friend Stewart Laing, Tony Award-winning director and set designer, won an award from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation last week, and is snapped here having a fag outside the CCA, where we had some celebratory drinks.

From the foundation's press release: "Stewart Laing, who formed Untitled Projects in 1998, in parallel to his busy international designing and directing career, receives a £273,000 grant to enable the expansion of his core team and the production of more personal, visually driven performances, that attempt to reconfigure the perceived conventions of theatrical space."

Glasgow, 2010."
