Caisteal Bharraich, originally uploaded by Harry Willis.

"Castle Varrich on a promontory high above the Kyle of Tongue on the north coast of Scotland. Taken on a one man photoshoot on Wednesday 26th June 2005 when the haar ( local sea mist ) drifted into the kyle on a still evening and made me abandon my other business in Tongue and race round every road in the area to capture the best of the atmospheric conditions."

First of 200, originally uploaded by ccgd.

"This is the first prototype of a planned 200 windmill windfarm based around the Beatrice Oil Field, in the Inner Moray Firth. This is one of the largest off-shore windmills built in the UK, and certainly the one located in the the deepest water (40m)"

Seen being towed out between the Sutors of Cromarty.

Cowcaddens FC dealing with water geyser

"While walking to Uni today came across the Cowcaddens FC turning off a geyser of water that had been set off by some kids. This was their third attempt to get at the main valve. The geyser was probably 30 feet high"

Ardnamurchan Lighthouse

Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, originally uploaded by bicameral.

"The isolated Ardnamurchan lighthouse is now a museum and well worth a visit for a trip up to the top and a chat with the lighthouse keeper. On the day we were there, the views to skye, the hebrides and south to the treshnish isles were all great. A little bit of post-processing means this isn't quite the right colour (the NE side of the lighthouse won't have seen an evening glow like this!). It improved the picture though."
