"The lighthouse at Glencallum Bay, Isle of Bute, Scotland. It still flashes a red light at night every six seconds which is solar-powered."
"On a day when most of Scotland enjoyed a temperature inversion, and we were too shattered to do anything about it."
"Two of the female members of Kataklo, performing a routine based on fencing at this year's Edinburgh Fringe. Kataklo are an Italian athletic dance theatre group who created part of the opening spectacle for the last Winter Olympics."

"Two shot stitch."
"A new addition to the Clyde's colour palette"
"260 sec exposure well after the sun had went down!
Taken from the shores of Troon facing Prestwick and the airport."
Beautiful Sutherland : looking West from Baligill onto Hope.
"Just before the rain. Thankfully this was not the only way down."
"Rather foul looking waters in Pittenweem harbour. On the camera screen it looked more red than the brown here, but I haven't altered the colour in any way."
"When I checked this shot on the camera I thought I'd missed the Tornado GR4 carrying out it's attack run. I hadn't, it's just not obvious at first. I really like this one, with the smoke, and the beginnings of a second explosion."
"Taken last month at the Edinburgh Film Festival during a BAFTA Scotland screening, interview and presentation in honour of Sir Sean Connery. It was also the big man's 76th birthday and he was in good form as he chatted about his life and career. He was born & brought up just round the corner from my flat on a street called Fountainbridge. The cinema where the event took place was also on Fountainbridge, so it was a real homecoming for him.
Technically this pic is pretty dreadful - the lighting was poor, I didn't have flash or the lens I needed, and I've had to crop this from a much larger image - but I love the cheeky smile and the twinkle in his eye...although I have a feeling he was pointing me out to security saying 'you better pay for this boy' :)"
"View from Fitful Head - been messed with...."
"We got up at 4am
and went to Callanish
to wait the dawn
among the stones.
But the skies were leaden
and the showers frequent
and just as the dawn
was about to break
the rain set in
and that was that.
This was quite atmospheric, though."
