Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2011, bottom of the mound.
Another shot of THAT tree. Sunset on Rannoch and no midgies. On our way from Lochearnhead Games to Arisaig we spent the night on the moor.
CHASING THE LIGHT
"1st of 2 photos from a beautiful August evening in the Outer Hebrides.
This is the slipway for the Barra ferry on the little island of Eriskay. This route is operated by Caledonian MacBrayne. The shots are looking towards the island of South Uist and the beach and houses to the right are on Eriskay.
Not much altered from the originals apart from some cropping and level adjustment. Foreground lighting provided by a handy halogen light at the top of the slipway. Cokin ND8 filter used."
"Spent the day at the Edinburgh fringe with the intention of doing some street photography. Saw this young man promoting a show about Frankenstein.
He's from performing in Frankenstein by the Livewire Theatre"

"I wasn't sure whether to title this 'Northern Lights' or 'Town lights'. I have been planning a trip here for a while to capture the aurora but it is too close to Portknockie to escape the glow from the streetlights. The red does give a bit of unnatural drama however.

"The stags are all together at the moment. Only a few weeks until the rut, and these guys will be loggerheads."
And of course the quirky....
