"Came across this shot whilst reviewing some old unprocessed RAW files. It was taken in April last year. Thankfully the scaffolding isn't too bad! The silhouettes of the boats gives a good perspective of the size of the bridge itself."
"I think this is my favourite with my new lens... at the moment!!"
"I'd like to say that I stalked this wild stag through the heather for hours, letting it become used to my presence and smell, gaining its trust and curiosity to the point that I could get so close that I almost stuck my camera up its nose.
Unfortunately, despite being wild, it's one of the most tame stags in the highlands and hangs about a popular tourist viewpoint which happens to have a burger van. I've seen this chap in several of my contact's photos already, so I guess he's a real poser. Still, looks good."
"MV Hamnavoe sails from Scrabster, Scotland to Stromness, Orkney with the next load of tourists."
"Hoar frost covers everything by the side of the A85 on a cold January morning."
It may have been cold and frosty, but it added something to the shot. A great day.
"An old ruined cottage nestles in the foot of the Campsie Fells.
This shot was taken as the first snow of the year began to settle.
*** LOCATION UPDATE - 10 Jan 2008 ***
A couple of days after this shot was taken, Scotland was battered by gales, with winds in excess of 75mph. Sadly, the gable end of the building - shown here with its chimney - was blown over and destroyed."
