"Lots of research went into my ad-hoc weekend trip to Scotland. I saw others photos of this castle, and decided to drive 1000 miles out of my way just to take a trip up there to see it. It was overcast and raining most of the time, but luckily I show in RAW and finally got home to my Photoshop CS2 and came up with this.
It takes back to the 13th Century, and has gone through many refurbishments.
I'm proud to say this is probably my favorite photo from my 3 week trip, and can I tell you, I'm very glad to be home."
"One of the few times that not being able to sleep has paid off.
I woke up early, before the sun had risen, and having lay watching the ceiling for an hour or so, I decided to get up. Just as it was starting to get light, I could see that there was mist lying in the valleys. Grabbing the dog, and my camera we set out to get some perspective on the whole situation. Ending up at one of our favourite spots, we were greeted with this.
Couldn't believe my luck!"
