"Sitting on the top of the world
You could die in peace there"
"On an Icy, misty christmas night."
"Making the most of what probably will be the last nice sunny and surprisingly warm weekend that I'm out home this year. It's the first time I've been in the Cairngorms so I dont' really know where i was but thanks to chimpaction I now know what the castle is called! :D"
"Some woods just outside Monikie - taken on Saturday when the fog/mist crept up on Dundee and the surrounding areas...."
"Lots of research went into my ad-hoc weekend trip to Scotland. I saw others photos of this castle, and decided to drive 1000 miles out of my way just to take a trip up there to see it. It was overcast and raining most of the time, but luckily I show in RAW and finally got home to my Photoshop CS2 and came up with this.
It takes back to the 13th Century, and has gone through many refurbishments.
I'm proud to say this is probably my favorite photo from my 3 week trip, and can I tell you, I'm very glad to be home."
"This photo is dedicated to my lens cap. It could not take all the pressure I've been giving it recently and rolled off the bridge into the water below... sniff...
I could also do with an image stabilising lens (it's a wobbly bridge!)"
"RRS Discovery, in Dundee, with the sunrise behind over the Tay roadbridge."
"Night shot taken on the Kingsway , Dundee with a beautiful blue night sky the building in the background is the NCR Research Centre."
Sunrise from Kinnoull Hill.
A similar view of the same scene can be seen in ktfm's photostream..
An Umbrella for Ladybirds - this intrigued me - the way the ladybirds were sheltering under the mushroom - difficult to take as the mushrooms were growing halfway up a tree -this is hdr from raw 6 images
"Taken from a camera suspended from a kite line"

"The standing stone circle at Callanish on Lewis in the Western Isles. Using the stones to frame other stones."
"Another view of barrels outside of Glenmorangie Distillery, Scotland. Note the fact that Jack Daniels bourbon barrels are used for aging..."
"An old cottage now used for storage."
"Somewhere above the low cloud, a sunset is trying to happen."
"A very high tide, and a strong north wind had scattered sheep bones all over Coldbackie beach. Magnus collected a few and made this little display."
"A waterfall on the Endrick Water by Fintry, Stirlingshire, Scotland."
"Tranquil Scottish Scene - in Angus Scotland - long exposure - no editing here -very peaceful"
Dawn at Kessock Bridge, Inverness, Scotland
"One of the few times that not being able to sleep has paid off.
I woke up early, before the sun had risen, and having lay watching the ceiling for an hour or so, I decided to get up. Just as it was starting to get light, I could see that there was mist lying in the valleys. Grabbing the dog, and my camera we set out to get some perspective on the whole situation. Ending up at one of our favourite spots, we were greeted with this.
Couldn't believe my luck!"
"I live on a plateau on the edge of the Tay Gorge with the Obney Hills rising beyond: the cloud structures around the river are spectacular, which makes for stunning sunsets.
Though the sun has sunk behind the forest, he is trailing his cloak and his energy is everywhere."
And of course the quirky....
