Forth Rail Bridge - Moonlight

"260 second exposure grabbed on the way back from the airport. I was in a bit of a rush to get home. I only took one exposure and was back on the motorway by the time my camera had finished processing this."

Eilean Chathair Amain (part 2), originally uploaded by Gareth P.

"Another one from the archives. This is the causeway over to Cramond Island with the World War 2 sea defence. Moody skies and a strong setting sun gave the shot a favourable contrast.

166 seconds at f/13, Lee Big Stopper and 0.9 ND soft grad."

Beinn Alligin

Beinn Alligin, originally uploaded by Kenny Muir.

"First light on Tom na Gruagaich, Torridon

Just back from a few days in Torridon and Skye with my brother. Sunrise on Beinn Alligin was a definite highlight. It was looking unlikely that I was going to come away with anything. We got to the summit at around 730pm but it was overcast and starting to rain. We pitched the tent about 80m down from the highest peak. The skies had amazingly cleared when my alarm went off at 530am. This was taken looking from Sgurr Mhor, the higher of the two munros looking over to Tom na Gruagaich."

Falkland Mausoleum

Falkland Mausoleum, originally uploaded by michaelgcumming.

"Taken on Thursday. This is 100 x 30 sec exposures blended in startrails.exe plus 3 exposures of 30 seconds blended with a blue/red and frost gel on the flash gun at 1/4 power for blue and frost gels and 1/1 power for red as I couldn't get into the building to get to the window.

A spooky place, quite difficult to get a decent composition for the foreground in the pitch black as well. The North star can be seen here which I am quite pleased with.

100 x 30 secs, ISO 640, f/3.5, 10mm."
